  • Epic GoPro Uses

One of the best things about having a camera like the GoPro Hero 4 is its versatility. There are just so many things that can be done with it — all you need is some inspiration and creativity. If you are still not sure how to best apply your action camera, this right here may be a good starting point — how about creating a GoPro time lapse video?

Time lapse is a photographic and videographic technique that uses a sequence of frames taken at equal intervals of time to record and show how a change is taking place.

Here’s an example of a time lapse video to start you off:

What makes GoPro a great tool for making time-lapse videos?

Lots of things.

It’s compact and easy to mount. This means that you have a wide range of choices when selecting a location for placing your camera. The sky’s the limit. Literally.

It’s resistant to the elements. You can basically place your trusty action cam anywhere and not worry about rain, humidity or dirt getting into it. This gives you the perfect ground to record changes that happen outdoors: sunsets, the ocean, animals and more

GoPro comes with lots of trimmings. Mounts, suction cups, mounts, straps, adhesives — you name it. You will have a complete arsenal with accessories to work with, you are sure to have lots of help when looking for the right shooting angle.

What sort of time lapses can you make? Well, here’s where that imagination kicks in.

Some GoPro time lapses aim to capture the beauty of a natural phenomenon. Check out this breathtaking sunset over a Hawaiian beach.

Others turn their sights to urban sceneries:

Some, take their time lapsing to extremes (as one would expect of GoPro users) and go on to film wild natural phenomena:

While some show-off their day-to-day accomplishments, like this girl cleaning her room:
